Pharmacist Match was created to solve exactly that problem.

Founded by experienced pharmacist Hussam Kibbeh, the platform connects pharmacists directly with one another to fill temporary shifts quickly and efficiently. With more than two decades of professional experience both internationally and in Canada, Hussam understood the staffing challenges pharmacies face, and saw an opportunity to build a solution designed by pharmacists, for pharmacists.

A Platform Built by a Pharmacist

After working in the field for more than 20 years, Hussam launched Pharmacist Match to create a more flexible way for pharmacists and pharmacy owners to connect.

Today, Pharmacist Match serves around 400 pharmacists across Canada, helping professionals collaborate and maintain continuity of care for patients.

By enabling pharmacists to find temporary coverage quickly, the platform helps pharmacies avoid disruptions while also giving pharmacists greater flexibility in how they manage their schedules.

Discovering Global Startups

Hussam first learned about Global Startups while attending Web Summit Vancouver last year.

Looking to expand Pharmacist Match and strengthen its growth strategy, he joined the Newcomer Entrepreneur Accelerator Program to gain access to mentorship, guidance, and a broader entrepreneurial network.

Learning While Building

One of the key benefits of the program for Hussam has been its flexibility. As a busy professional running a company, being able to balance work with learning opportunities was essential.

Through weekly sessions, workshops, and recorded materials, the program allows founders to continue operating their businesses while gaining new insights.

As Pharmacist Match continues to grow, their goal is to expand its reach and strengthen its presence across Canada’s pharmacy community.
