If you’re a pre-seed founder in Ontario, you already know the problem. There’s no shortage of pitch competitions and “investor readiness” webinars. What’s rare is a room where 30 active investors are listening, and where you’re prepared enough to have a real conversation about money.
That’s what Capital Connect is built for.
Capital Connect is a closed-door program for pre-seed tech founders based in Ontario, capped at 12 companies. Applicants need an MVP, early users or paying customers, and be actively raising a first round.
Program timeline:
Total cost is $1,000 plus taxes, paid in two parts, only after you’re accepted.
The October day covers five areas: how pre-seed investors actually decide, deal structures like SAFEs and convertible notes, building your own valuation, defensible financial projections, and a strategy tailored to your company. Founders leave the room with something they built and defended themselves, not a rehearsed script.
Capital Connect sits inside the Global Startups ecosystem, alongside GSA Ventures, a Toronto pre-seed fund drawing from the same accelerator pipeline. Two GSA Ventures portfolio companies illustrate the kind of founder this ecosystem backs:
Terra Bioindustries transforms brewers’ spent grain into food-grade sugars and plant proteins.
Infinite Harvest Technologies (IHT), based in Niagara Falls, uses insect bio-digestion to convert agricultural waste into animal feed and soil products.
Pre-seed, Ontario-based, tech founders who already have traction and are actively raising, and who are willing to put in real preparation work, not just attend sessions.
Applications for the next cohort are closing soon. Apply now.
