LatAm Startups was in São Paulo this week, connecting with the Brazilian startup ecosystem. Introducing LatAm Startups’ programs and community LatAm Startups reconnected with key partners in Brazil and met with entrepreneurs excited to grow and explore new markets, including Canada, for their expansion. After bridging with Medellin and Bogota last month, this visit to Brazil was another opportunity to strengthen the community of Canada and Latin America’s ecosystems.
Hosting an evening networking meetup at Cubo Itaú in São Paulo was another chance to build bridges, opening up for entrepreneurs, startups, and scaleups to interact with LatAm Startups and Canadian Government officials. Member of LatAm Startups’ Board of Directors Rafael Pinto was host, joined by special guests Jennifer May (Ambassador of Canada to Brazil) and Marcelo Tavares (Canadian Trade Commissioner, Senior Investment Officer in Brazil), alongside Anita Baidwan (Vice-Consul & Trade Commissioner) and Renata Favale Zanuto of Cubo Itaú, presenting and showing support.
Also, an executive meetup was hosted at the Canadian Embassy in São Paulo, bringing together LatAm Startups’ key partners and connections in the city. After a long break of in-person meetups due to the pandemic, it was a welcoming opportunity to reconnect, share exciting plans, and bond together in a mission to help Brazilian startups scale to a global Canadian market.
