As 2024 comes to an end, we want to thank everyone who made this year special—our amazing startups, supportive coaches, board members, advisors, and hardworking team. It’s been a year full of changes and successes, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
It’s been over a year since we changed from LatAm Startups to Global Startups, and the name change couldn’t be more fitting. While we’re still rooted in Latin America, 49% of our community now comes from outside the region. This diversity brings fresh ideas, global networks, and a better understanding of how to do business in different markets.
Highlights from 2024
In 2024, we hosted over 30 events, including our biggest one—our annual conference. Next year, the conference will take place on May 26th, 2025, and we can’t wait to see even more of you there. We’ve also organized more sessions to connect startups with investors and industry experts, creating new opportunities to grow and succeed.
- We now have 300+ startups in our community.
- These startups have raised $9.2M, completed 650 pilot projects in Canada, and created over 2,500 jobs worldwide.
- They are innovating globally, with 15 patents approved and 22 more pending.
- We hosted events in Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal
- We reached the 4th year of Hamilton-Niagara Bootcamp and 1st year of London Scaleup Bootcamp
- We hosted events in Rio and São Paulo
What’s Coming in 2025
Next year, we have big plans to help our community grow even more:
- Web Summit Rio: We’ll attend for the third time to showcase our startups on the global stage.
- Annual Conference: Early Bird tickets are already in sale!—May 26th, 2025.
- Programs for Startups: We’ll run four key programs:
- More Events: We’re adding more chances to meet investors and get funding.
