The Scaleup Bootcamp is a market validation program supporting startups to evaluate their possibilities to enter the North American market, validate business model and other assumptions. During the two weeks, companies participating will have sessions with mentors specializing in various aspects, such as immigration, incorporation, finance, business development and marketing. The companies will also participate in ecosystem tours, to show them the different accelerators and incubators available for them.

After the Scaleup Bootcamp program, these companies will be able to know if the Canadian market is suitable for their business. For those who decided to continue growing their business here, they will proceed to the Softlanding Program for three months.

For this March 2020 cohort, the companies will have the chance to present at our annual LatAm Startups Conference on June 18-19, 2020 at MaRs Discovery District, the world’s largest innovation hub. We are expecting 400 entrepreneurs, government officials and investors from all over the world to attend our conference this year. This will be a great opportunity for the companies to boost their business in Canada.

Since 2017, LatAm Startups have had a total 59 companies that have completed our programs, in which 60% of them have opened a business in Canada. Furthermore, 65% of the companies that participated in the Scaleup Bootcamp continued to the Softlanding Program. There are currently 3 companies under the Startup Visa Program, which a company can enter after the Softlanding Program with the approval of LatAm Startups’ Board of Directors.

We are excited to meet them in-person here in Toronto, and help their business enter into the global markets.

Next registrations for the Scaleup Bootcamp Program (September 2020) will re-open in May 2020, applications are being received under a waiting list.
