TORONTO, September 11, 2020 – On Wednesday, LatAm Startups hosted its seventh edition of the annual LatAm Conference. The event aims to bridge the Latin American and North American startup ecosystems to work together towards innovation, with the involvement of industry leaders and market entry experts.
We would like to thank the attendees for your participation and involvement in supporting the global ecosystem. We are proud to announce that the conference received more than one thousand registrations from 37 countries from all global regions.
Our amazing speakers shared insights around the role of small and medium businesses in the economic recovery of a country, what they can do in these unprecedented times, as well as the support available around the ecosystem to fight against the impact of COVID-19.
Here is a glimpse of the conference:
“Canadians share deep rooted connections with Latin America and the Caribbean. Our shared values, our business ties and student exchanges as well as tourism strengthened both of our economies. With over 400,000 Canadians of Latin American heritage, and 750,000 Canadians with Caribbean heritage, our strong people to people ties brings our countries even closer together.” – Minister Ng
Jess Joss, CEO (on sabbatical) of Equation Angels as well as an angel investor herself, talked about what startups need to know about angel investment and how to approach them. Watch the video below for her full interview:
